Mansfield Town 0-0 Leicester City

Pre-season friendly 21st July 2009

Very creditable draw for the Conference team against their Championship visitors. Stags loooked very good indeed - just the worry about Craig Armstrong playing at left-back ....not going to happen again surely!!

Daryl Clare had the ball in the Leicester net very early on in the second half, but was adjudged to be off-side -- Stags keeper Alan Marriott made one terrific save soon after to keep the scores level.

The Stags have a wealth of talent up front - when Jason Bradley came on to play up top with Kyle Perry and Louis Briscoe the trio were a real handful for the Foxes defence.

Nice to see young Harry Hawkins as 4th official - Harry can usually be seen running lines in the CMFL.. but it has to be said that although the electronic board looked a bit heavy for him, he did a good job with so many of the usual pre-season friendly player changes!!!
